Looking Back At The Last 50 Years Of Snowfall In Evansville And Henderson

It's a good thing Santa delivers his presents at night: Christmas might be a bit too hot for a fella from the North Pole.

The National Weather Service's Paducah, Kentucky, office's seven-day forecast is predicting Christmas temperatures could reach as high as 69 degrees amidst clear, sunny skies. That would break the record for the warmest Dec. 25 in Evansville history, which is currently 68 degrees and shared by the Christmases of both 2019 and 1982.

Christmas Eve is predicted to be not as warm, with a high of 63 degrees and a 20% chance of light rain.

If you're wondering, the coldest it's ever gotten in Evansville on Christmas is -10 degrees in 2004. That was right after an epic dumping of snow on the city in the days before. The snowmen built that day are long, long gone.
